Community - As a student led initiative SOS seeks to empower the Alphacrucis College Community and the broader Sydney Community to act together in reaching out to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Fundraising - SOS seeks to be a vehicle to raise Funds for Anti Trafficking projects co-ordinated by key partner World Vision.

Sounds of Silence 2012 will involve:

A Student/Staff/Volunteer contingent of runners in the 2012 City to Surf

A fundraising evening that will involve a screening the documentary Nefarious, a silent auction and presentations, all of which are aimed at raising awareness around what is and can be done to help end human trafficking

We're back for another year! Through the work of World Vision and its established program, this united student and community initiative has seen hundreds of lives being rescued and rehabilitated into their local communities - an effective and long-term result for lives which were enslaved.

Sounds of Silence is a dynamic student-led movement that seeks to make a difference in the lives of victims and potential victims of Human Trafficking. We seek to do this in three ways:

Advocacy - Raising Awareness of the plight of those who cannot speak for themselves - the victims & potential victims.
